While Joe Root scored a century in the first innings, Jamie Smith scored an innings of 51 runs. However, in the second innings, both players failed to bat strongly and Washington Sundar made him his victim. Washington Sundar bowled deadly and first dismissed Joe Root and then Jamie Smith also showed the way to the pavilion. Not only this, he also dismissed Ben Stokes. Not only this, Washington Sundar has created history after taking four wickets in Lord’s. He has become the third Indian spinner who took four wickets halls in Lord’s. After a long time of 51 years, an Indian spinner has achieved this feat in Lord’s. Earlier in 1971, B.K. Venkataraghavan did this feat in 1971 while Bishan Singh Bedi achieved this feat in 1974.
