There have been many big controversies in the history of IPL, but in the world’s largest league, there was an incident which surprised not only Indian cricket fans but world cricket. It is being talked about the slap of Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth. In the very first season of IPL, in 2008, Harbhajan Singh slapped Sreesanth. After the end of the match, Harbhajan, who was in the Mumbai team, suddenly slapped Punjab Kings player Sreesanth and the world was shocked. No one had ever seen the video of this incident but former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi has now released it.
How did Harbhajan slap Sreesanth?
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke made a podcast with Lalit Modi. Lalit Modi told in Beyond 23 Cricket Podcast how Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth. Lalit Modi said, “The match was over, even the cameras were closed. However, my security camera was on, whatever happened during this time, the video of it was made. The players of both the teams were joining hands with each other. In such a time, Harbhajan Singh came to S. Sreesanth and slapped him in reverse hand. Sreesanth did not understand Sreesanth. Irfan Pathan and Mahela Jayawardene came. I did not share this video in the last 17 years. ”

Harbhajan Singh also regrets his action
After this slap case, Harbhajan Singh was banned for the entire IPL season and he was also banned for 5 ODIs. Harbhajan Singh has regretted this thing till date.
Harbhajan Singh has accepted his mistake on big stage many times, but one thing said by Sreesanth’s daughter still bothers him. The daughter of the former fast bowler told Harbhajan Singh, “I don’t want to talk to you, you killed my father.” He said that when his daughter said so, the former spinner also started crying.
