Just before the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan cricket team all -rounder Mohammad Nawaz wreaked havoc of his spin. In the final of the T20 TRAI-Nation Series against Afghanistan, left-handed spinner Nawaz created a panic with a hat-trick. Nawaz took this hat -trick in his first 7 balls in this match and brought Afghanstani batting to his knees. With this, he also became the third Pakistani bowler to take a hat -trick in T20 International. On this, Pakistan won the match by 75 runs and captured the trophy.
T20 series were being played for the preparations for the Asia Cup between hosts UAE, Pakistan and Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates. On Sunday 7 December, its final was played between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Sharjah, in which Pakistan somehow scored a match and then Nawaz implicated the Afghan batsmen one by one in his spin trap.
Third Pakistani to take a hat -trick
Nawaz, who was bowling well in this tournament, continued the same trend in the final. Nawaz, who came for bowling in the sixth over, gave just 1 run in the first 4 balls and then took 2 wickets in the last 2 balls. He dismissed Darwish Rasuli on the fifth ball of the over and then returned the pavilion to Ajmatullah Omarjai on the next ball. In such a situation, he was close to a hat -trick and when he came for bowling in the next over, he had a chance to do wonders in front of him.

Incidentally, both of them achieved this feat against Sri Lanka.
5 wickets for the first time
Nawaz was not satisfied with a hat -trick and also took his fourth wicket inside the next 3 balls. In this way, in the first 2 overs, Nawaz took 4 wickets giving just 1 run. The Pakistani spinner also ended his spell with a wicket. In his last over of the match, Nawaz completed 5 wickets in the match by dismissing Afghanstani captain Rashid Khan. Pakistan won the series
Earlier, Pakistan had set a target of 142 runs to win Afghanistan in the final. Pakistan was also not starting good and the team’s 5 wickets had fallen by 72 runs. At such a time, Nawaz (25) also showed amazing in batting and handled the innings. The Pakistani all -rounder first shared a 40 -run partnership with captain Salman Aga and then brought the team to the match. After this, Nawaz with 5 wickets destroyed the Afghan team.
