England experienced all-rounder Jamie Overton breaks the right finger of the right hand, causing the current ODI against the West Indies and the upcoming Vitality Twenty20 series. He received the injury during the first ODI match between England and the West Indies.
According to the ESPNCricinFour report, Overton got an injury after taking a strong return catch of KC Cartie after he made his second ball in that match, who won by England. Immediately leave the field for treatment.
Jacob Batell finished the overton over, who later returned and bowled out the extraordinary bowling – with only 22 wickets in 5.2 overs, he picked up his best ODI figure.
Overton gave an effective spell even though he was injured in the middle of the over. He trapped Roston Chase and Matthew Ford in a short ball and slowly defeated Gurakesh Moti by ball.

The England Cricket Board said Overton would now be in the recovery phase under the supervision of the physio and medical team and no new team will be made instead. Mathew Pots and Luke Wood of Lancashire are already in the squad as a reserve pacer. Left-arm spinner Tom Hartley may also be considered.
The second match of the ODI series will be on Cardiff on Sunday, and the third and final match on Tuesday at Kia Oval. Then the three-match Twenty20 series, whose first match is on Friday, on Chester-Lee Street.
