The eliminator match of IPL 2025 could have been recorded in the best matches in the history of this tournament forever. But this did not happen. It was a wonderful match but it would have become even more memorable if the young batsman of Gujarat Titans Sai Sudarshan would have reached the team to victory. However, this could not happen and Mumbai Indians made a strong win and made it to the qualifier-2. Despite this, Sudarshan made everyone a fan with his tremendous batting throughout this season and even he is now being described as a batsman like ‘Mr. Cricket’.
Glimpse of Hussey in Sudarshan’s batting
Sudarshan made a great start for Gujarat in almost every match in this entire season. There were only 3-4 matches in which their bat did not work. The most important thing is that this 23-year-old batsman not only scored a lot of runs, but also scored at a high speed and it also scored these runs with an accurate batting technology. Seeing his batting, former Australian all -rounder Tom Moody called Sudarshan a batsman like ‘Mr. Cricket’ i.e. Michael Hussey. Let me tell you that both are left -handed batsmen.
In a show by ESPN-Cricinfo, Moody described Sudarshan’s way of standing and the technique of shots as beautiful. He said, “I see a glimpse of Mike Hussey in him. The way he stands at the crease, many of his strokes are the same, intensity and understanding between the wickets, they all come out of Hussey’s notebook.” Former Australian veteran batsman Hussey is called ‘Mr. Cricket’ due to his accurate batting and the ability to score runs with continuity in all three formats.
IPL 2025 most runs
This magnificent season of Sudarshan ended with heartbreak. Eliminator match was played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians on Friday 30 May. Mumbai scored a big score like 228 runs in this match. But seeing the kind of batting Sudarshan took throughout this season, it seemed that he would also bring his team to this difficult goal. But cricket is the only one where not everyone gets everything. Sudarshan played another wonderful innings but could not win the team. With his 80 -run innings, Sudarshan also completed his 759 runs in the season. In this way, he also became the youngest batsman to score 700 runs in a season of IPL.
