Cricket game is the only one where each mistake is overwhelmed, but the game goes so long that it also gets a chance to return. In the finals of big tournaments like IPL, such mistakes become the cause of the team’s defeat. Especially a mistake like leaving a catch. But if someone gives such a mistake to improve the biggest hunting, then it does not take long to become a hero from that player’s villain. In the final of IPL 2025, one such view was also seen when Royal Challengers Bangalore all -rounder Romario Shepherd made a mistake, due to which he started apologizing in front of everyone. Then he gave the biggest blow to Punjab Kings.
The final of IPL 2025 was played between Bengaluru and Punjab on Tuesday 3 June in Ahmedabad. In this final, Bengaluru batted first and scored 190 runs. Punjab needed 191 runs to win the title, which did not seem much difficult for his strong batting. At the same time, Bengaluru needed wickets in the beginning, so that they can stop Punjab from reaching this goal. This was also going to happen when Romario Shepherd left the easy catch of Prabhasimran Singh off Josh Hazlewood in the third over. At that time Prabhasimran was playing just 9 runs.
This season, the player of the batsmen, who scored the most runs in this season, was nothing short of a work -like work of leaving the catch in the final. In such a situation, when in the 9th over, Krunal Pandya took the wicket of Prabhasimran Singh and Bhuvneshwar caught the catch, the Shepherd came directly to Krunal and Bhubaneswar with folded hands and with a smile on the face. But what Shepherd did after this was enough to make him a hero.
In the very next over, when he came for bowling for the first time and took Punjab’s biggest wicket. Shepherd returned the pavilion to Punjab captain Shreyas Iyer at the crease. Captain Iyer, who was the star of Punjab Kings’s victory in the last match, was dismissed for just 1 run. This was the biggest shock for Punjab. This wicket made Bangalore a return to the match because then the score was 3 wickets for 79 runs.
