What did Andre Russell say?
West Indies all -rounder Andra Russell has expressed his opinion on Virat Kohli’s statement. He said that players like Virat Kohli give so much importance to Test cricket, because they play from a country like India, where the cricket board gives a lot of money to its Test players.
During an interview, Andre Russell said, “I think Test players are very well taken care of in countries like India, Australia or England. It is completely different from countries like West Indies. Those cricketers get great central contracts to play Test cricket. Obviously they will want to play when they get such an opportunity. But our players will take 50 or 100 Tests, even if they are also seen, they will not play more Would”.
Russell has played only one Test match
Andre Russell made his Test debut towards West Indies in 2010, but he has got a chance to play only one Test match so far. He said that he was excluded directly from the Test team, because the board felt that he is only fit for the white ball.
