Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara made some big and fun revelations on the occasion of the launch of ‘The Diary of a Cricketer Wife’ by Pooja Pujara, wife of Team India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. During this, Rohit Sharma laughed and said, “We used to fight among ourselves who will play on the short leg, who will stand on a silly point? And Pujji (Pujara) always used to say that I come to play at number 3, so I need more comfort to you. So do fielding there”. Everything changed again
On this, Pujara smiled and interrupted Rohit and said, “But later when Rohit started opening in the Test, everything changed. Then he said that now I am an opener, so you stand on the short leg! I had no answer-I used to go.”
When Pujara was surrounded by the crowd
Both players narrated another funny anecdote of 2012, when both these players went to play with India-A team in Trinidad and Tobago. Rohit said that Pujara had left the hotel late in the night in search of vegetarian food, while all the players were told that no one went out after 9 pm. As soon as he left the hotel, he was surrounded by the crowd, he was rescued with great difficulty.
Rohit Sharma praised Pujara and said that at the beginning of his career, Pujara played more than 100 Test matches even after the injury to the anti -cruciate ligament in both his knees, which is a very big thing. Pujara last played a Test match in June 2023. He has played 103 Test matches so far, in which he has scored 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60.
