India Test team arrival England 2025 : The Indian Test team has reached England to play a five -match Test series against Ben Stokes. The newly formed Indian Test team, whose newly appointed Test captain Shubhman Gil is the captain. Guil’s new team India arrived in England on Saturday. They will play a five -match Test series.
The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) has released a video, where the moments of reaching England have been seen. In the video, captain Gil, vice-captain Rishabh Pant, opener Sai Sudarshan, and other cricketers including Jaspreet Bumrah, Rabindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Siraj are among the bowlers.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket, the change in the team was understood by Pant’s humorous comment. As seen in the video, he jokingly said, ‘Garden is what Yad Ayegi.’ That means you will remember the garden. Here Garden means Rohit Sharma. Which was a hint of Rohit’s famous comment. During the fielding series against England last year, Rohit told teammates, “Garden May is not sleepy.”
BCCI wrote in the caption, ‘Touchdown UK 🇬🇧 Team India has arrived for the five-match test series against England’, that is, ‘Indian team has set foot in UK to play a five-match Test series against England.’
The series will be held from June to August 2020. Test matches will be held in Headingly (Leeds), Ezbaston (Birmingham), Lords and Oval (London) and Old Trafford (Manchester) in these five historic venues.
This will be India’s first bilateral Test series after Rohit and Kohli’s retirement. There is now a change in the party. Shubhman Gill has come under the leadership. And in this series, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin have already moved from Test cricket.
India has not won any other Test series in England since the 21st. As part of the preparation for that goal, some Indian cricketers have already arrived in England, where they are playing a preparation match for India ‘A’ against England Lions. The rest of the members were reported to be arriving in England on Friday.
Meanwhile, India ‘A’ team is currently playing a three -match informal Test series against England Lions. The first match was drawn. The second informal test will begin on Friday, June 5, at the County Ground in Northampton. On Thursday, England announced their first Test squad, which will be held in Headingley.
There are several changes in the England squad. Last year, several seniors were dropped after losing a 3-5 Test series in India. James Anderson retired, and Johnny Bairstow, Ben Fox, and Oli Robinson were not included in the squad.
