Captain Shreyas Iyer, who sent the IPL final for the first time since 2014, has shocked everyone by making a big disclosure. He revealed in front of PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta that when he got information about getting the amount above Rs 20 crore during the auction of this season, he ran directly towards the washroom. Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore this season. Shreyas performed brilliantly in IPL 2025 and took the team to the title match, where Royal Challengers Bengalru defeated Punjab by 6 runs to capture the IPL Trophy for the first time.
KKR released release
Last season, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the title under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. Despite this, KKR released him. Delhi Capitals bid up to Rs 26.50 crore, but in the end Punjab Kings won by bidding Rs 26.75 crore and included Shreyas Iyer in his team.
