The champion team of IPL 2025 RCB could not celebrate his Mahajit’s celebration properly because during his celebration, an incident occurred which broke the heart. Fans gathered for RCB’s Victory Parade in Bengaluru were victims of the accident. There was a stampede in an area in Bengaluru and 11 people lost their lives. Action has been taken on this issue from RCB officials to Karnataka Cricket Association officials and now former captain Sunil Gavaskar has given a big statement on this issue. Gavaskar said that the Bengaluru accident is no less than a tragedy and it does not make sense to blame anyone. He also said that if RCB had won the IPL in a few years of the beginning, then perhaps it would not have happened.
What did Gavaskar say on Bengaluru stampede?
Sunil Gavaskar wrote his column on midday, ‘Is it a tragedy? The disadvantage of life due to stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium is really shocking. The wish of all those people was that they could see a glimpse of those players who gave them so much happiness and joy in the last two years, especially in the last two months. The IPL Trophy, which he expected to win every year but never won, was finally coming to him after a long wait of 18 years. It was completely understandable to not stay the place of happiness, and they wanted to show this to their heroes. Perhaps he wanted to see them closely, touch them, or take a picture with them.

Gavaskar further wrote, ‘Some people were crushed and killed and many people still got injured and being in hospital was a sad incident. There is no point in blaming anyone. This is useless because know can not be brought back and some wounds, especially mental wounds, may never be completely cured. If RCB had won the trophy in the first few years, then such feelings would not have grown after a long wait of 18 years. Other teams won, but their enthusiasm was not so high because their fans did not have to wait so long.
