bcci committee bengaluru stampede : The Board of Control for Cricket in Bangalore has adopted a strict attitude in the case of stampede at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The BCCI has announced to create a new policy to avoid any such accident in future. For this, the board has formed a new committee, which will prepare guidelines in this matter. This decision was taken at the meeting of the BCCI’s Apex Council held on Saturday and this responsibility has been given to the 3 -member committee. On June 4, 11 people died in the accident during the celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Many issues were discussed in the BCCI Apex Council meeting held on Saturday and some important decisions were taken. The most important decision in this was related to the Bengaluru accident, on which everyone’s eyes were fixed. After the meeting, the BCCI issued a statement and first of all, the Bangalore stampede and Ahmedabad aircraft accident. Along with this, the board formed a committee of senior officers for not getting to see incidents like Bengaluru accident in future.
In its statement, BCCI said that a committee of 3 members will prepare detailed guidelines, which will be implemented during such events in the coming time. The committee will be chaired by the board secretary Devjit Sikia, while BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Treasurer Prabhtej Singh will also be part of it. These three officers are in the most powerful positions of the board. Also, it has been clear that this committee will have to submit its report and guidelines to the board within 15 days.
