At the same time, in red ball cricket, he did bowling for the last time in May 2021. He has to stay away from the red ball for a long time due to injury. But, Archer, who recently returned to white ball cricket for England, is now going to enter the red ball cricket.
Will Archer play second Test against India?
England selector Luke Wright said earlier this month that if Archer plays for Sussex, he will be available for the second Test against India. Return to Test cricket after 1587 days!
Jofra Archer played the last Test against India on 24-25 February 2021 in Ahmedabad. After that Test, Archer has stayed away from Test cricket on the international pitch. But, as if there are speculations that they can return from the second Test against India, if this happens, then after 1587 days, they can be seen showing their strength on the international pitch of the Test again.
Jofra Archer stayed away from red ball cricket due to several injury one after the other. During IPL 2025, he was not selected for the first Test being played in Leeds against India due to thumb injury. But, now he has opened the doors of coming to the England team for Sussex’s team. If Archer joins the English team, then it can show his bowling.
