India’s veteran player dies

Former Indian left -arm spinner Dilip Doshi has died in London. The reason for the death of 77 -year -old Doshi is being said to be heart -related problems. He played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs for India from 1979 to 1983, in which his spin bowling gave him a special identity. Dilip Doshi was born on 22 December 1947 in Rajkot, Gujarat, although he spent most of his cricket career playing for Bengal. He was one of the few bowlers who made a Test debut after the age of 30 and still took more than 100 wickets.

Dilip Doshi performed amazing in his small international career. He took 114 wickets in 33 Tests, including five wickets hall six times. His ODI had 22 wickets with an economy rate of 3.96. Apart from this, he took 898 wickets in 238 first class matches, which included five wickets and 10 wickets hall six times. Doshi also played county cricket for Nottinghamshahar and Warvikashar in England.

Made debut against Australia

Doshi’s Test debut was against Australia in Chennai in 1979, when he was 32 years old. In this match, he scored 6 wickets in the first innings and 2 in the second innings, which emerged as India’s best bowler. At the same time, he played his last international match against Pakistan in 1983. Apart from this, he played his last first class match in 1986.
