ICC imposed a big fine in the first Test against Australia on Zayden seals
In the first Test match between Australia and West Indies, Zayden Seals took 5 wickets in the first innings while bowling. Due to his bowling, the Australia team collapsed for 180 runs in the first innings. However, in this match, the fast bowler made a big mistake, due to which the ICC has imposed a heavy fine on him. Actually, when Seals dismissed Pat Cummins, he indicated to the Australian captain to go to the pavilion. The International Cricket Council has imposed a 15 percent fine of their match fees on Zayden seals. Zayden seals have also been given a demerit point for violating Level-1 of the Code of Conduct of ICC.
Zayden seals accepted a mistake
The ICC said that the seals accepted their mistake and also accepted the punishment given by the match referee Jawagal Srinath, so there was no formal hearing in the matter. The charges were framed by the field umpires Richard Kettleboro and Nitin Menon, the third umpire Adrian Holdstock and the fourth umpire Gregory Brathwaite. This is the second demerit point of seals in 24 months.
Earlier, he received a demerit point in a Test against Bangladesh in December 2024. After the first day’s match was over, the seals said that this gesture was not a big deal, it was just a little angry because Pat Cummins had put some good shots on them, so he jokingly showed him the path of the pavilion.
