The first Youth ODI between England Under-19 and India Under-19 was played at Hov’s Sussex County Ground. In this match, the young team of England batted first and scored only 174 runs. Indian bowlers bowled deadly and destroyed the batting lineup of England Under-19 completely. In this match, Andrew Flintoff’s son Rocky Flintoff and Moin Ali’s nephew Ijac Mohammed also participated from the England team. Both these players scored valuable runs for their team, but the remaining batsmen were very upset by Team India bowlers.
India Under-19 bowlers showed their power
In this match, Kanishka Chauhan bowled strongly for Team India and took three wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs. Apart from them, Mohammad Enan, Henil Patel and RS Ambareesh took 2-2 wickets. The host had got a good start but the young Indian team bowlers made a comeback and continuously pressurized the England batsmen. Rocky Flintoff, son of Andrew Flintoff, scored 56 runs for the England Under-19 team. He hit three fours and three sixes in his innings.
Talking about Ijac Mohammed, he contributed 42 runs. Ijac Mohammed hit three fours and four sixes during his innings. Apart from these two players, no other England batsman disturbed the bowlers of Team India. Ben Mayes scored 16 runs while opener Bij Dokins scored 18 runs. Indian bowlers have played their role in this match brilliantly and now it is very important for the batsmen to leave their mark.
India Under-19 team’s easy win
India’s youth team started chasing the target very well. Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi put pressure on the bowlers of England. Team India needed 175 runs to win the match. In response to this, Vaibhav Suryavanshi batting stormy and played an explosive innings of 48 runs with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes on 19 balls. At the same time, after him, Abhigyan Kundu scored an unbeaten 45 runs in 34 balls and won the team by 6 wickets.
