Shikhar Dhawan has revealed an interesting story of his life. In his book ‘The One: Cricket, My Life and More’, he mentioned an exciting incident during the 2006 tour of Australia. At that time he was in Australia with the India-A team and fell in love with a girl. Shikhar Dhawan reached Dhawan Darwin on a tour of Australia with India-A team in 2006. In the line of immigration there, he saw a beautiful girl. Both of them started while taking luggage. After a while, he gave the phone number and email ID to each other. Shikhar emailed her as soon as she reached the hotel, and she replied. After this, Shikhar called her to a party, and she agreed.
Rohit complained to Dhawan
Shikhar revealed that he used to take the girl to his hotel room, which he used to share with Rohit Sharma. Shikhar revealed, ‘I started loving that beautiful girl. I used to think that he is right for me and I will marry her. After every match, I would go to meet him and bring him to his room. Rohit Sharma did not like this much. One day Shikhar was walking around with his foreign girlfriend in the hotel lobby. Then a senior selector saw him. However, Shikhar Dhawan made his debut for India in 2010. He first played in ODI format and made his Test debut in 2013, after which he achieved shameless success. Shikhar Dhawan played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20 matches for India. Especially in ODI, he scored 6793 runs at an average of 44.11. He was also known as ‘Mr. ICC’, as he performed brilliantly in the big ICC tournament. Last year, Dhawan retired.
