The relationship between the two countries has been on the verge of almost ending since the Military struggle between Pahalgam terror attack and then India-Pakistan. Its effect is also visible on the sports front, where the sword is hanging on the organizing of important tournaments like Asia Cup. But now it seems that the expectations of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) regarding the tournament organizing have started increasing and hence it has made up his mind to organize the Asia Cup 2025 from the second week of September. A report claimed that the tournament may begin from September 10.
According to the already decided schedule, India has to host the Asia Cup 2025. Also, in view of next year’s T20 World Cup, the tournament of this time is to be played in this format. But earlier this year, since the hybrid event of the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, it seemed that India would have to host the tournament on the hybrid model or have to be held completely out. But the killing of 26 tourists in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and then the conflict between the armies of the two countries also reduced these expectations.
But now in a report by cricketer, it has been claimed that ACC hopes that the tournament will be held and for this he has chosen the second week of September. The report said that this tournament with 6 teams can start from September 10, in which the UAE team will participate in addition to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Not only this, UAE’s name is once again in the forefront as the venue of the tournament. The last tournament was held in 2023, which was played on the hybrid model as the tournament was hosted by Pakistan but Team India played all their matches including the final in Sri Lanka. In the final, India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka.
