Yonex-series All India Sub Junior (Under-13) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2025 was held in Goa. In this tournament, the players of South India dominated. In the singles match, Noman Pappu of Tamil Nadu won the title in the Boys Group. While in the singles match of the Girls Group, Andhra Pradesh’s number-one player Asha Shri Dandu won. In the title match, both the champion players performed brilliantly. Earlier, Noman Pappu defeated Jashwant Mahkali of top seed Andhra Pradesh 21-19 21-15 in the semi-finals to make a big upset, while Asha defeated Poonya MN of Karnataka 21-14, 21-15 to advance to the finals.

The final match of Boys Singles of this tournament was played between Noman Pappu of Tamil Nadu and Shlok Chaudhary of Haryana. The first set won 21-16 in Noman, but in the second set, both the players saw a tough competition. In the end, Noman won the second set 21-19 and won the title. Shlok Chaudhary looked very disappointed with this defeat. Shlok Chaudhary Roy defeated Vivaan Shah of Gujarat 9-21, 22-20 21-10 in the semi-finals to advance to the finals.

Asha performed strongly

Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh’s top rank Asha Shri Dandu faced Kira Rai in Maharashtra in the title match of Girls Singles. In this match, both the players showed a great game. Asha won the first set 21-17. In the second set, Kira Rayana made a brilliant comeback to win 16-21, but Asha won the third set 21-19 and won the title. Kira Rayana of Maharashtra defeated Bitama Paul of West Bengal 23-21 21-14 in the semi-finals to make a place in the final.

In the title match of the Boys’s Doubles Group, a strong pair of Shivesh Gupta (Uttar Pradesh) and Jashwant Mahkali (Andhra Pradesh) defeated the first huge Raut of Maharashtra and Vivaan Shah of Gujarat defeated the title 21-17, 21-17. In the final match of the girls, Telangana’s Srivabhavi Approval and Anya Prodatur won the title by defeating Tamil Nadu’s Nitiksha Jaganathan and Aditri Kannan 21-17 21-17.
