Team India has to play the second Test match against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham, which is starting from July 2. England won the first Test match played between these two teams by 5 wickets. Now India is expected to perform well in the second Test. Shubman Gill & Company will also like that she can conquer the second Test and equal 1-1 in the series. However, before the start of the second Test, former player Sanjay Manjrekar has made a special appeal to Team India. Sanjay Manjrekar believes that the Indian team should include three spinners in their playing XI of the second Test.
Sanjay Manjrekar’s special appeal
Former player Sanjay Manjrekar said on Geothstar, ‘The heat in England remains very dry these days due to global warming. Therefore spin can be included in England. It should not be forgotten that Ben Stokes has completely changed his thinking and has made it a normal cricket thinking. We should go back in those days whenever whatever happens but Team India would definitely feed three spinners, whether it is New Zealand or England.
In the first Test match played between England and India, spinners of both teams performed very poorly. Both of them included 1-1 spinner in their playing XI. For England, Shoaib Bashir took three wickets in the first Test, while Ravindra Jadeja of India had only one wicket.
What will be the combination of Team India without Bumrah?
Sanjay Manjrekar further said, ‘Without Jaspreet Bumrah, I am getting very tension of Team India’s bowling lineup until Kuldeep Yadav comes to save him. In the last many years, Team India has won many matches when the bowlers have bowled strongly. This has happened many times when India has not scored much runs but their bowlers have won fatal bowling and won them.
