Shikhar Dhawan revealed many important things at the launch of his autobiography ‘The One’. He said that when Ishaan Kishan scored a double century in ODIs, he understood that now his cricketing career is over. Kishan scored a double century in ODIs against Bangladesh in 2022.

Shikhar Dhawan said, ‘I was doing well in domestic cricket. Even before my Test debut for the Indian team, I was continuously scoring runs and scoring a century. My average as an opener is 40. I could not perform well in England. I went there three times but could not do much. But this is life and I am very happy for whatever I have achieved. In the T20 World Cup 2021, my name would not come, I had an idea. Everyone asked me and wanted to know my story. I did not like it at all and nothing was going to change.

Dhawan further said, ‘Shubman Gill was also doing well. He was batting strongly in T20 as well as Test cricket. I only came for ODI but the rest of the players were seen performing brilliantly in front of the coach. When Kishan scored a double century in ODIs, I understood that now my career is over. Then I remember that my friends came to give me emotional sport but I was very happy and enjoying it. He told about his book that this is a good book and everyone must read it.
