Indian batsmen continue in England. While Yashaswi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are continuously scoring runs in the Test series against England, only 14 -year -old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi is rescuing the sixes of England bowlers with his blistering batting. In the third match of the ODI series being played between the Under-19 team of India and England, Vaibhav continued his similar attitude and scored a stormy half-century in just 20 balls. But during his explosive innings, Vaibhav got very close to a century and was dismissed. Vaibhav rained sixes during his innings and 9 times the ball was brought across the boundary.
The third match of the Youth ODI series was played between the two teams on Wednesday 2 July in Northampton, England. In this match, the Indian team bowled earlier and got a target of 269 runs in 40 overs. To achieve such a score, a fast start was needed and young opener Vaibhav took this responsibility on his shoulders. As soon as this left-handed batsman arrived, the bowlers of England started beating and focused on hitting just fours and sixes. In the last two matches, Vaibhav could not score half -centuries and was dismissed by scoring 45 and 48 runs.
Fifty in 20 balls, 3 sixes in one over
This time, 14 -year -old Vaibhav did not let this happen and died only after completing the half -century. The Indian opener completed his stormy fifty in just 20 balls, for which he took the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes. Vaibhav had completed his half -century only in the sixth over. In this over, the Indian batsman hit 3 sixes and 1 four. Vaibhav continued this attack even further and then in the eighth over, he also hit 2 fours and 1 six in 3 consecutive balls.
Vaibhav looked very close to his century, but was caught out in an attempt to hit a six on the last ball of this over. In this way, the young batsman played a memorable innings of 86 runs in just 31 balls with the help of 9 sixes and 6 fours and missed a century by just 14 runs.
England made a strong score
Earlier, this match was played only 40-40 overs due to rain. England batting first in this match and scored 268 runs losing 6 wickets on the basis of captain Thomas Royu’s explosive innings. The captain crushed 76 runs in just 44 balls, with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, opener BJ Dokins also played an excellent innings of 61 runs. Kanishka Chauhan once again took 3 wickets from the Indian team.
