Karsan Ghavri revealed

Karsan Ghavri revealed, ‘As far as I remember it was the year of 2009-10 and the Punjab Cricket Association organized the All India fast bowling camp. There were 155 boys from Punjab, Bihar and Bengal who came to give trials. All were 18 to 19 years old. Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler Sandeep Sharma was also in this camp. When the net was installed, there was not a single batsman after which I demanded some good batsmen from the manager of Punjab Ranji team. He sent some people. There was also a little rain that day and I and one of my assistant coaches went out for a while. There was a ground nearby where the match was going on and children of 12 or 13 years were playing. The pitch was wet but despite this he did not stop the game. There was a boy who was batting and I stopped seeing him. His batting was really amazing.

Karsan Ghawari further said, ‘I was seeing that a man standing near the tree is watching the match carefully. I went to him and asked why you are standing alone, then he replied that my boy is playing. He told that the one who is batting is my son Shubman, who is 12 years old. I told him that your boy is a very good player and you should send them to PCA’s nets tomorrow. All I had to see is how Shubman batting against 18 -year -old Sandeep. I hoped that he would perform well.
