During the second session of the fourth day, when Shubman Gill was batting in India’s second innings, India won a huge lead of 450 runs. Due to which Harry Brook looked quite desperate. He was also heard asking Gill to declare the innings. Brook said to Gill in a funny manner, ‘450 runs have been lead, now declare the innings. Shubman, tomorrow it is going to rain more than half of the day.’ In response to which Gill said, ‘This is our misfortune.’ After which Harry Brook said, ‘Be ready for the draw.’
This conversation was captured in the stump mike and shortly after this clip became quite viral on social media. Let me tell you, wonderful batting has been seen by Team India in this match. The Indian team batted 151 overs in the first innings. At the same time, he also played more than 75 overs in the second innings. Due to which all the players of England appeared quite tired on the field and frustration appeared on their face.
Rain expected on the last day of the game
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains for July 6 in Birmingham, due to which the game of the fifth day can be affected for more than half the time. If the rain disrupts the game, this test could move towards the draw, as Brook jokingly said. However, if the game of the entire day is played, then India is the biggest contender to win this match.
