In the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 auction, young players of two Indian cricket veterans, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag’s family made headlines. Virat Kohli’s nephew Aryveer Kohli and Virender Sehwag’s elder son Aryveer Sehwag have entered the Delhi Premier League. Both these young players will be seen playing in this league first innings. The auction for DPL season 2 took place on July 6, where 520 players were auctioned. The names of many star players were also included in this.
Virat’s nephew will play for this team
Virat Kohli’s nephew Aryveer Kohli is currently 15 years old. He has been included in his team by South Delhi Superstars for 1 lakh rupees. Aryveer Kohli is a leg-spin bowler, he has not yet made her debut for the senior team of Delhi. He has been a registered player for Delhi Under-16 and is undergoing training under the guidance of Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma at the West Delhi Cricket Academy. In DPL, Aryveer will get a chance to play under the captaincy of Ayush Badoni, which can prove to be a big platform for him.
Sehwag’s son rained heavily
Virender Sehwag’s elder son Aryveer Sehwag will be seen playing for Central Delhi Kings. Central Delhi Kings bought him for Rs 8 crore. Aryveer Sehwag, 17, has already got discussion before his batting while playing for Delhi Under-19. In the auction, the war of dialect was seen for him, where Central Delhi Kings had to spend 8 lakh rupees. However, Sehwag’s younger son Vedanta, who is an off-spinner and is active in Junior Cricket in Delhi, remained unsold in this auction.
These star players dominated auction
Simarjit Singh was the most expensive player in this auction of Delhi Premier League. Simarjit Singh was bought by Central Delhi Kings for Rs 39 lakh. At the same time, Digvesh Rathi was made part of his team for South Delhi Superstars for Rs 38 lakh, Nitish Rana was made part of his team for Rs 34 lakh by West Delhi Lions and Prince Yadav was made part of his team for Rs 33 lakh.
