The third match of the Test series at Lord’s between India and England started on Thursday 10 July. Apart from the last two Tests, the first day of this match was not as interesting because neither more runs were scored nor more wickets fell. But before the end of the day’s play, suddenly there was an attack on Team India’s star Pesar Jasprit Bumrah on the field, due to which the match had to be stopped. This attack was of insects, which caused Bumrah to get upset badly.
The third Test began at Lord’s after high scoring matches of the first and second Test match in Edgbaston. The first day of the match was low-scoring, where the England team, who was batting earlier, could not even score 300 runs. However, during this time Team India did not get much wickets and Indian bowlers had to work hard. During this time, there was not much thrill in the day’s game for the audience.
Ladibirds attack, Bumrah upset
However, the match suddenly interrupted 15 minutes before the first day’s play was over. Indian Pesar Jaspreet Bumrah, who was fielding, started looking restless and started running hands in the air. When the situation became clear, it was found that there was an attack of ladybird insects on the field and a lot of ladybirds were flying near Bumrah’s head, which made them look very upset. On seeing this, the batsmen and the rest of the fielders also reached a herd of these insects. Due to this, the umpires stopped the game for some time. Finally, after stopping for 5 minutes, the match started again.
