Defended decision to declare innings

Gambhir said that he and the team thought that England should be completely excluded from the match. Gambhir also said that he wanted to force England to play in his own style on the last day and also wanted to see if that team could defend 100 overs or not. As the last day was shown, England piled up for just 271 runs and Team India won.
Apart from this, the head coach also told that he is unable to be ‘switch off’ during a series, that is, he is unable to remove his mind from the match.
