Team India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav is currently away from cricket, recently he has undergone surgery. But this player was definitely seen in Wimbledon 2025. In London, he was seen cheering the tennis players fiercely with his wife Devika. He came to watch the Wimbledon match for the first time. During this tournament, when he was asked that if he had played tennis doubles, who would have been his partner? So Suryakumar Yadav took the name of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Why did Suryakumar choose Dhoni partner?
Suryakumar Yadav said, ‘I would like to choose Mahendra Singh Dhoni. They also have speed and mentally they are very strong. When he is not playing cricket, I have seen him playing tennis. The Indian player shared his experience in the Wimbledon tournament. He said, ‘I have always heard about what the atmosphere of the center court is. I have seen tennis on TV a little bit but now I have come here to experience it. My favorite tennis player Novak Djokovic. I have also lying his book ‘Sarva to Win’ and he has encouraged me a lot.
Suryakumar Yadav further said, ‘Elite tennis players and top level cricketers have a lot of the same. In cricket, we run 20 to 25 meters again and again. Tennis is also similar. Your mindset should be strong in both sports.
When will Suryakumar return on cricket field?
After the end of IPL 2025, Suryakumar Yadav had to undergo surgery. They are now much better than before. According to reports, a three -match ODI and three -match T20 series can be played between Team India and Sri Lanka. Negotiations have started between BCCI and Sri Lanka Cricket Board regarding this series. This series is expected to be played next month. If both boards do yes for this series, then Suryakumar Yadav can be seen participating in it.
