The team, which defeated Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2024, is stuck in a big crisis at this time. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given 90 days time to the cricket board of this team to improve its arrangements. This Cricket Board is currently falling prey to criticism for administrative matters. The sword of suspension is hanging on it. Although the ICC has given him relief of three months, but for so much time, US cricket (USAC) will be able to improve its administrative matters or not. At this time, the Chairman of ICC is Jai Shah.
Why USAC in crisis?
Indeed, the administrative crisis continues in USA cricket, as Chairman Venu Pisike has opposed the instructions of both ICC and United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (UsOPC), who demanded a change in leadership. A notice was sent to USAC in July after the T20 World Cup last year. The ICC had asked the USAC to improve within 1 year, but there was no improvement in the USAC even after the deadline was over.
In such a situation, the ICC was in a mood to do big action, but in the meeting of the ICC board held in Singapore on 19 July, USAC has been given three months more time. During this time, if the US Cricket Board does not change the leadership group soon, it can be ruined. This can also affect Major League Cricket (MLC), National Team and Los Angeles 2028.

Decision to adopt hybrid model
In the meeting, ICC has decided to adopt a hybrid model for qualification at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This means some teams will qualify on the basis of ICC T20 rankings, while others will have to play in qualifiers. The ICC established the generalization committee last year to monitor compliance and reforms. On 18 June 2025, representatives of ICC had asked the Pisike and the rest of the board to leave the post during a meeting at Los Angeles, but it has not happened yet.
