In the last Big Bash League season, Ovan made its mark. Especially in the final, Ovan played the biggest role in making Hobart Hurricanes champion by scoring a stormy century in just 39 balls. Oven scored 108 runs in 42 balls in that match, which was his second century in the season. Overall, the oven scored the highest 452 runs at the 203 hahaqi strike rate in the season.
The effect was that he first summoned South Africa’s SA20 and then IPL 2025. However, in the IPL, he could play only one match for Punjab Kings, in which he was dismissed without opening an account in 2 balls. But in the MLC 2025 season ending in July itself, he took the Washington Freedom to the final with his batting and bowling. Overall, Oven has scored 960 runs in 48 T20 matches at a strike rate of 186 and has also taken 24 wickets.
