South Africa’s strong victory
Zimbabwe, who came out to bat first after losing the toss, did not have a good start. South African fast bowlers Corbin Bosch and Nandre Burger bowled brilliantly in the powerplay and gave early shocks to Zimbabwe. In the first 10 overs, Zimbabwe’s score was 3 wickets for only 55 runs. However, Brian Bennett took over his team by playing an aggressive innings of 61 runs. Bennett made a significant partnership of 78 runs for the fourth wicket with Ryan Berl (36 not out), which took Zimbabwe to 144 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Bennett hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in his innings, but it proved to be expensive for Zimbabwe to add only 22 runs in the last four overs. For South Africa, Corbin Bosch took 2 wickets for 16 runs in 4 overs, while Masakayomji Peter also took an important wicket.
Rasi van Dar Dusen’s captaincy innings
Chasing a target of 145 runs, South Africa also stumbled. Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Tinotenda Mapososa bowled brilliantly, dismissing opener Luan-Dre Pretorius (4) and Reeja Hendrix (6) early and brought South Africa to the loss of 2 wickets for 22 runs. But after this Rubin Harman took over the innings with captain Rasi Van Dar Dusen. Both shared a brilliant partnership of 106 runs for the third wicket, pushing Zimbabwe bowlers on the backfoot. Harman scored 63 runs in 36 balls, including 3 sixes and 4 fours. On the other hand, Van Dar Dusen played an unbeaten 52 -run innings with the help of 6 fours. Due to which Africa won an easy win by scoring 145 runs for 3 wickets in 17.2 overs.
