Despite all the controversies and claims, India and Pakistan will soon be seen colliding with each other on the cricket pitch. This competition will be held between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, which has been officially announced. This tournament of the Asian Cricket Council will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 9 September to 28 September. At the same time, despite the recent confrontation between the two countries and all the demands of Boycott, India and Pakistan will also be in the same group in this tournament and they are likely to be the first competition on 14 September. This time the tournament is to be played in T20 format.

Tournament will run for 20 days in UAE

Mohsin Naqvi, President of Asian Cricket Council and chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, revealed the dates of the tournament in a social media post on Saturday 26 July. Naqvi wrote that the tournament will be held in UAE and it will start from 9 September and its final will be played on 28 September. However, he did not disclose the entire program of the tournament, but it said that the schedule will be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, reports are being claimed that like every time, India and Pakistan will be kept in the same group in this tournament and the first competition of group stage between the two can be held on 14 September. Overall, if India and Pakistan reach the final, then both of them can face face to face 3 times. Even if this does not happen, both teams can clash 2 times. Apart from group stage, India-Pakistan is expected to compete in Super-4.

India-Pakistan match amid controversies

This match between India and Pakistan is going to happen at a time when the relationship between the two countries is at the worst level in the last few years. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May. After this, Pakistan had attacked the Indian Army, which it received a befitting reply and many of its military hideouts were destroyed. From then on, there was a demand for full boycott of Pakistan at the level of international cricket. Not only this, after heavy protests, India-Pakistan matches also had to be canceled in the World Championship of Legends.
