Atkinson’s performance was special because he was returning to the team after injury. He was included in the squad after England’s defeat in the second Test match but did not get a chance in the playing XI. He returned to the last Test match and the 27 -year -old Pesar told that England had made a mistake by not feeding the previous Test. Etkinson took important wickets like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurlel, Washington Sundar in this innings and then in the end, Mohammad Siraj and the famous Krishna quickly piled up and dealt with the innings.

Good strike rate than Bumrah

This is the first Test of right -arm fast bowler Gas Atkinson against India, while the 13th Test match of his career. In 24 innings of these 13 Tests, he has taken 5 wickets in an innings for the fourth time. Overall, he took 60 wickets in such a small career. The strike rate makes his performance special, which is better than Jaspreet Bumrah. Atkinson has taken these 60 wickets at a shocking strike rate of 34.9, while Bumrah’s bowling strike rate is 42.6. However, bowling average is better of Bumrah. He has taken 216 wickets at an average of 19.82, while Etkinson is of an average of 21.
