Tod Murphy made his international debut in India. He played his first Test in Nagpur in 2023. In the series in which Murphy made his debut against India, he took 14 wickets in the 4 Tests played, in which he had dismissed Virat Kohli 4 times. But, even after the debut made 2 years ago, he has been able to play only 7 Tests so far.
