Indian cricket veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has recently announced his retirement from International Cricket and Indian Premier League (IPL), but his passion for cricket is not over yet. At the age of 38, Ashwin can now start his new innings in the Global T20 League. Recently, reports were revealed that Ashwin has expressed his desire to play in the next season of the LT20 league to be held in UAE and hence he is considering writing his name in the auction. Meanwhile, another revelation has been revealed.
R Ashwin has a big offer
According to a report by Cricbuzz, Ashwin is discussing with Cricket Australia to participate in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL). This will be a big step for them. If this happens, he can be the first big Indian cricketer to participate in BBL. According to the BCCI rules, active Indian players cannot participate in the foreign T20 league, but after retiring from international cricket, Ashwin now has this opportunity.
Cricket Australia (CA) CEO Tod Greenberg is currently discussing this possibility with Ashwin. Greenberg has confirmed calling Ashwin and said that work is going on on a possible deal, as well as he expressed his happiness on the realization of the deal. They are confident that this will happen. Greenberg said to Cricbuzz, ‘It will be great for a player with a qualification like Ashwin to come here for BBL at many levels. He is a champion cricketer who will bring a lot in Big Bash and our cricket summer.
This team can become part
How to carry out the deal, Cricket Australia (CA) CEO Todd Greenberg and R Ashwin will be seen. At the same time, some sources believe that if he becomes a part of this league then he can go to Melbourne. However, Greenberg’s next step is to form a proposal by negotiating with clubs and other stakeholders which he can take to Ashwin.
