Team India hoped that star fast bowlers would have some impact on Bumrah in this match. However, on the second and third day, he could not do anything special like the rest of the bowlers. But the concern of Team India increased when a small accident happened with Bumrah. After the day’s play was over, bowling coach Morne Morkel revealed that when Bumrah was coming down from the dressing room at the Old Trafford Stadium during the third day’s game, his leg was turned in the stairs. Due to this, he remained in a lot of pain for some time and could not bowl with the new ball. However, Morkel said that it was not very serious.

Team India got its punishment

Not only Bumrah, but Mohammad Siraj was also seen struggling with fitness and Morkel said that Team India faced it when the second new ball was taken. Morkel said in the press conference, “Yesterday (second day) was not good but today (third day) bowlers performed a bit better. Unfortunately when we took the second new ball, the injury of two bowlers put us in trouble.” Team India took a new ball after 90 overs and Bumrah returned to the pavilion only after one over. Then he returned for bowling after a long time. At the same time, Siraj bowled about 5 overs with the new ball, but during this time he also had to return to the dressing room battling with injury.

Indian pace could not affect the effect
