The Asia Cup 2025 starts from 9 September. India has also announced its team for this tournament in which many dhakad players have been included. India’s captaincy will be seen doing Suryakumar Yadav while Shubman Gill has also got a place in the team. He has been made the vice -captain. Recently, former player Virender Sehwag has named three players of Team India of Asia Cup 2025, which can prove to be a game changer. However, neither Suryakumar Yadav’s name is among these three players nor Shubman Gill has been included in this list by Virender Sehwag.
These three players can be India’s game changer
Virender Sehwag has named young opener Abhishek Sharma, veteran fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah and excellent mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty. He said on Sony Sports, “I think Abhishek Sharma can be a game changer. Bumrah has always been a game changer. Varun Chakraborty Champions Trophy also proved to be very effective in 2025 and he has bowled deadly even in T20 format. These are three games for me which can match India.”
All three players figures in T20
Talking about Jasprit Bumrah, last year, in the T20 World Cup, he bowled very well and took 15 wickets, due to which Team India won this tournament. He has so far taken 89 wickets in 70 T20s. Abhishek Sharma is also one of the important players of India’s T20 team. Abhishek Sharma has so far scored 535 runs in 17 T20 matches for Team India at an average of 33.43. He has scored two centuries and two half -centuries and the best score of the young player is 135 runs.
Varun Chakraborty has also done his work quite well. He has played 18 T20 matches so far for Team India, in which the mystery spinner has taken 33 wickets at an average of 14.57. Varun took 17 wickets in the Indian Premier League 2025 at an average of 22.52 in 13 matches. All three players will also have to perform strong in the Asia Cup 2025.
Asia Cup starts starting from 9 September 2025
The Asia Cup 2025 starts from 9 September and its final match will be held on 28 September. India has to play their first match against UAE on 10 September while the team will play their second match against Pakistan on 14 September. Team India has to play the third and last league match against Oman on 19 September. India would like to make these three matches in its name.
