There has been a lot of discussion about the Asia Cup 2025 tournament for a long time. However, now a big report has come out about the start of this tournament. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka was to be held with the Asia Cup 2025, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to go. However, BCCI later attended the meeting online, where the Asia Cup was discussed and it is being told that the tournament has been agreed to organize. The tournament will be started from 8 September.

Tournament starting from 8 September

According to the report, the tournament will start from 8 September and its final match will be played on 24 September. 8 teams will participate in it, including India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan full time members. At the same time, the team Hong-Kong, Oman and UAE, which won the ACC Premier Cup, will also participate in it. According to the information, the Asia Cup 2025 tournament will be hosted in UAE. However, BCCI will be its host and will soon release the schedule.

Keeping in mind the T20 World Cup 2026, this time the Asia Cup will be in T20 format. Last time it was ODI Cup, it was organized in ODI format. Matches were held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka under the hybrid model. The Indian team defeated Sri Lanka in the final and won the trophy of this tournament.

India won the final

The previous season of the Asia Cup was played in 2023. Its final match was held in Colombo in which India won. In the final, the Sri Lanka team collapsed for 50 runs. For India, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj bowled deadly and took 6 wickets for 21 runs in 7 overs while Hardik Pandya took three wickets. Team India achieved the target of 51 runs in 6.1 overs. In this season too, all the fans will have high expectations from Team India. However, the rest of the teams would also like to challenge them.
