The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hopes that it will be decided by July 13, but the board is still waiting for approval from the government. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is constantly under pressure on this tournament starting on 5 September. He has written a letter and sought an answer from BCCI.
Not yet got the green signal
Asia Cup-2025 is going to be hosted by India this time, but Pakistan matches may be held in Sri Lanka or UAE, although it has not been decided yet. Apart from this, a decision is yet to be made on whether India and Pakistan will play matches among themselves in this tournament. On this, BCCI is waiting for the decision of the central government. According to cricbing reports, BCCI can take a decision on the Asia Cup 2025 by July 13, but before that it can take formal approval from the government.
ACC pressure
On the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi is constantly under pressure on the Asian Cricket Council BCCI. ACC has written a letter seeking answers from BCCI. The ACC says that there is less than two months left for the tournament to start, if the decision is not taken soon, it may have to suffer financial losses. ACC earns the highest from the Asia Cup.
On the other hand, ACC’s media and sponsorship partners, including Soni Liv and TCM Sports, are very concerned with the silence of BCCI. However, according to one report, the program of this tournament, which lasts for 17 days, has been almost decided, the first match will be held on 5 September and the final on 21 September. The report said that India’s first match will be held on September 7 with arch -rivals Pakistan and the next match will probably be on 14 September. However, it is yet to get a green signal on it.
