Recently, the Pakistan team had to face 2–1 defeats in the 3-match T20 series against Bangladesh. Pakistan had performed very poorly and that is why Bangladesh won this series. Now Pakistan has to play a three -match T20 and the ODI series of the same match against the West Indies, which is starting from 31 July. Pakistan has announced its team for this white ball series. While the captaincy of the T20 team has been given to Salman Ali Aga on the one hand, Mohammad Rizwan has returned in the ODI team and he has been appointed the captain of the team. Not only this, Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi have also got a place in the team.
Return of veteran players
Babar Azam has returned to the Pakistan team, who played his back match against New Zealand on April 5, 2025. After this, he was given rest. Not only this, Shaheen Shah Afridi played his backward international match against New Zealand in March 2025. Rizwan was also given rest but now he too has been included in the ODI team against the West Indies.
Talking about the T20 series, it will start from July 31 while the ODI series starts from 8 July. Both teams look strong and they would definitely like both these series. After losing the T20 series against Bangladesh, Pakistan has made a lot of changes in its team. Haris Rauf has also got a place in the T20 team. While Hasan Ali has also returned to the team.
The ODI team also looks quite good. It will be very important to see how Pakistan team performs in the white ball series against West Indies after the series against Bangladesh?
