BCCI announced the schedule : The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the domestic cricket schedule 2025-26 season. There have been many changes in it. The format of the tournament will also change completely. The Indian board has taken important decisions in the meeting held on 14 June. It also includes the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season. In the Ranji Trophy 2025-26, only one team will be repaired in the Elite Group instead of the current two teams and similarly only one team will be promoted in the plate group. This tournament will be played in two phases. The first phase will be from October 15 to 19 November while the second will be from 22 January to 1 February.

BCCI announced

The season will start with the Dilip Trophy. The Dilip Trophy starts from August 28. Dilip Trophy and Senior Women’s Challengers Trophy teams will choose the national selectors. Till last season, the team used to play quarterfinal semi -finals and final matches in the knockout stage but in this season, the top teams will have to play three additional matches in the Super League.

The top teams of Group A and B will be seen in the final. The lowest 6 team of the previous season will be part of the plate group. Apart from this, there will also be big changes in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Senior Women’s T20 Trophy tournaments will be played under four elite group and a plate group format. Some junior and women events of U-16, U-19 and U-23 categories will be organized under a plate group system.

Here is the schedule:

The Dilip Trophy tournament will be played from 28 August to 15 September. Its final set will be at the Center of Excellence in Bangalore. The Iranian Cup will be played in Nagpur from 1 to 5 October. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will start from 26 November and the league matches of this tournament will be played on December 8 in Lucknow, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kolkata while the knockout stage will be held from 12 to 18 December in Indore. The Vijay Hazare Trophy League will be played from 24 December to 8 January in Ahmedabad Rajkot Jaipur and Bangalore while the knockout stage will be held from 12 to 18 January.
