It has been 79 years since India became independent on Friday, August 15. All Indians celebrated independence very well this year. The people of the cricket world have also given a lot of best wishes to the countrymen for Independence Day. Veteran batsman of the Indian team Virat Kohli, God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar, Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir and Test team captain Shubman Gill also congratulated the Indian people by sharing posts and stories on their respective Instagram accounts.

Former Indian team player and God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar has shared a picture of the Indian flag on his official Instagram. He is holding the tricolor in his hand and he wrote on its caption, “Jai Hind.” He has also put the same picture on his Instagram story. Apart from this, veteran batsman Virat Kohli has set up a story of his Instagram account. It reads, “Today we are laughing at freedom because our young soldiers are on the border with courage. Today we salute and honor our heroes on Independence Day. It is proud to be Hindustani, Jai Hind.”

Shubman Gill shared the video
Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill has shared a video on his social media account. In this video, he has posted pictures of himself and some of Team India’s players and he wrote on this video, “Happy Independence Day.”
Recently, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Team India played a five -match Test series against England. This was the first time that the batsman has captained Team India in Test cricket. His captaincy was highly praised by many people and this series ended at 2-2.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given a lot of best wishes to all the countrymen for Independence Day. He has shared a picture on his social media and wrote on its caption, “Happy Independence Day to all Indians. Jai Hind.”
