Bengaluru stampede: The Indian Premier League (IPL) will not be played in the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in 2026. In the Bangalore stampede case, the Inquiry Commission has banned big events in this stadium. This has shocked the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, there is no official confirmation in this case yet. Along with this, the Karnataka government has now allowed to prosecute RCB in the Bengaluru stampede case. This decision of the government has come in the report of the Inquiry Commission, in which RCB and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) were convicted of the incident. Along with RCB, KSCA has also been approved to run a case.
Will there not be matches in Chinnaswamy Stadium?
According to reports, the report of the Inquiry Commission said that the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is unsafe for large events. Therefore, any big event has been banned there. In such a situation, the possibility of the IPL matches to be held next year is less likely. However, there is no official confirmation on this matter yet. This has shocked RCB, because he will not be able to play a single match in his house.
