South Africa’s all -rounder Vian Mulder, who took command of the team in the second Test match against Zimbabwe, has made a big disclosure about West Indies batsman Brian Lara. He has shared a personal matter with Lara. In the second Test match played against Zimbabwe in Bulawao, Mulder had scored an unbeaten 367 runs, he had reached very close to 400 runs scored in an innings of Brian Lara’s Test cricket, but he had declared the innings by not breaking Lara’s record, which was surprised. Lara has also regretted not breaking the record. This has been revealed by Mulder.

Why Mulder did not break the record
The captain of South Africa scored the second fastest triple century in the second Test against Zimbabwe. Mulder completed a triple century off 297 balls. The Mulder scored an unbeaten 367 runs off 334 balls with the help of 49 fours and four sixes. South Africa has declared its first innings by scoring 626 runs for 5 wickets. This Test match was won by South Africa by an innings and 236 runs.
During this, during an interview, former cricketer Shaan Palak asked the reason for not breaking the records of Brian Lara, then Mulder said that first of all I felt that we had enough runs and we should bowl. Secondly, Brian Lara is a great player. It is appropriate to maintain this record for that level player. If I get a chance to do this again, I will do exactly the same. Brian Lara is a legend and is entitled to maintain this record. There was a difference of just 33 runs between Mulder and Brian Lara’s unbeaten 400 -run Test record in 2004.
