In the second Test against England, Team India captain Shubman Gill batted brilliantly and played a record -breaking innings of 269 runs. During his innings, he beat up all the bowlers of England fiercely. In this Test series, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have also batted amazing from Team India and have won the hearts of fans. However, former England captain Michael Vaughan believes that a good start does not mean that the work has been completed. He has said that the work which Virat Kohli used to do on his own alone will have to do these three players together in his absence.

In an interview with PTI, Michael Vaughan said, ‘Gill, Pant and Jaiswal will now have to take the India Test team forward together like Virat Kohli had done on his own. He has a group that is taking the game forward properly. He has a good opportunity to leave Legacy in a few years like Virat Kohli did for the India Test team. The way in which Kohli made the Test team number one and he did this for a long time, if these three come near it, then he will do his work well.
Virat Kohli has recently retired from Test cricket before the Test series against England. Apart from Kohli, Rohit Sharma has also said goodbye to this format. Michael Vaughan further said, ‘Two legends have recently retired. Shubman has made a bang as captain and player. He is a wonderful player. The team has not had any trouble in batting at all. Due to Kohli’s stay, there was a lot of energy inside the team. Now Gill will have to do the same as captain in a few years. Team India has a lot of talent and I want them to perform even better.
Shubman Gill starts as captain
Shubman Gill has been made the Test captain of Team India for the first time. Under his captaincy, India had to face defeat in the first Test against England. With this victory, England is ahead 1-0 in the 5 match Test series. Talking about Yashasvi Jaiswal, he has come on a tour of England for Test cricket for the first time. Rishabh Pant has done very well in Test cricket and he scored a century in the first Test with Jaiswal. All three are very young players and in future also they will be expected to perform tremendous performance.
