Team India is playing a 5 -match Test series against England. England won two of Jasprit Bumrah’s first three matches, while India won one match. In this Test series, Bumrah has played only two Test matches for Team India. In fact, before the commencement of the Test series against England to improve the workload, India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir had revealed that Bumrah will take part in only three Tests. Former captain Dilip Vengsarkar is not happy with this thing and he has given a big statement about Indian fast bowler and head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Dilip Vengsarkar reprimanded Bumrah

Dilip Vengsarkar said in an interview with Revspports, ‘The most important is to play for Team India and if you are not fit then do not play at all. After the first Test match, he got 7 to 8 days rest, but still Bumrah was not included in the playing XI of the second Test which is not right. It may be that this is right for Ajit Agarkar and Gautam Gambhir. I believe that if you are fit and available then you should play matches for your country. Bumrah is a world class bowler and he can win a match for Team India. When you are on a tour, you need to play every match and no question should be raised on it.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled very well in the first Test match played in Leeds and took 5 wickets in the first innings. After this, he was rested in the second Test match played at Edgbaston. While England won the first Test match, Team India won the second Test in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. England defeated India in the third Test match played at Lord’s between the two teams.

Jasprit Bumrah’s figures in England Test Series

Jasprit Bumrah is second in the list of bowlers who took the most wickets in this Test series from Team India. He has taken 12 wickets in two Tests. In the Lord’s Test, he took five wickets in the first innings while in the second innings he took two wickets. Such reports are coming out that Bumrah will definitely take part in the fourth Test match to be played in Manchester.
