In the Dalip Trophy 2025, North Zone batsman Ayush Badoni did wonders. He took his team to the semi -finals by scoring a brilliant double century. North Zone made a place in semifine on the basis of an edge in the first innings in the first quarterfinals played against the East Zone. In this match, Ayush Badoni scored an unbeaten 204 runs in 223 balls in the second innings with the help of 13 fours and 3 sixes. During the match against the East Zone, Ayush Badoni also scored the second highest score of his first class career. Earlier, he scored an unbeaten 205 runs against Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy last year for Delhi. In the first innings against East Zone, Ayush scored 63 runs in 60 balls with the help of 7 fours, but in the second innings he scored a double century and scored the first innings.
This is his fourth century in the first class match. Earlier, he scored 1063 runs in 21 innings of 14 matches with the help of 3 centuries and 3 half -centuries. Ayush, who played for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL), presented a great batting against the East Zone and beat up a bowler. North Zone scored 405 runs in the first innings against the East Zone. In response, the first innings of the East Zone captained by Ryan Parag was reduced to only 230 runs. In this way, the North Zone took a lead of 175 runs. After this, in the second innings, North Zone scored 658 runs for 4 wickets with the help of Ayush Badoni’s brilliant double century and captain Ankit Kumar (198) and Yash Dhul (133).
After this, the match was declared a draw and North Zone made it to the semi -finals on the basis of an edge in the first innings. In this match, fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who is playing for East Zone, was able to get only one wicket for 136 runs in 34 overs.
