In such a situation, this young batsman formed a good partnership with Joe Root and crossed the score of 50 consecutively in this series. He completed his half -century in 48 balls. But as soon as he crossed fifty, he changed the gear and paid more attention to collecting the boundary. With the changed attitude, Bethel completed the journey from 50 runs to 100 runs in the next 28 balls. This batsman completed his first century in international cricket on the 76th ball. Bethel scored 110 runs (13 fours, 3 sixes) in 82 balls.
Firstly scored a century in full career
In IPL 2025, this century was special in many ways for Bethel, who played some important innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore, but the most important was because he touched the 100 mark for the first time in his senior professional cricket career. Earlier, he could not score a century in international cricket, even in domestic cricket. Bethel had played 134 matches in the first class (including Test), List-A (including ODI) and T20 (including T20I) and could not score a century even once. Due to this, his selection was under question many times. But in his 135th match, he also finished this wait.
