Team India will now play their fourth Test match against England at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. After a long time, Team India is going to play a Test match in this stadium. So far, three Test matches have been played between these two teams, in which England have won two while India has won one match. England are ahead 2–1 in the Test series. Now if Team India has to remain in this series, then it is necessary to win the fourth Test in Old Trafford. But the bad news for the fans is that India has not won the Test match in this stadium even once. He has been waiting for victory here for 89 years.
Team India’s record in Old Trafford
Team India’s record at Old Trafford Stadium is very bad. He has played 9 Tests here since 1936, out of which he has faced defeat in four while 5 matches have been drawn. Out of these 4 matches, he has lost two matches by more than 100 runs.
There are some good memories in this venue for Team India. Former Indian team player and God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar scored his first international century at the Old Trafford Stadium at the age of 17. He scored 119 runs notout in the second innings of the second Test against England in 1990, due to which Team India managed to draw the match. Sachin Tendulkar won the hearts of all the fans with his innings in this match. Not only this, he also won the Player of the Match Award.
Team India will have to make a comeback
Team India is now required to make a comeback in this Test series. In the first two Tests between these two teams, the batsmen of Team India performed amazing but they failed completely in Lord’s Test. In Manchester, the batsmen get help and it is very important for Shubman & Company to perform strong. Shubman Gill will also try to win both the remaining Test matches. Currently, England are ahead in this series.
