Head coach Sanath Jayasuriya has made many plans to reach Sri Lanka cricket to height. For this, he has taken the help of former India coach. Bangladesh will visit Sri Lanka in June. During this time she will play two Test matches, three ODIs and three T20 matches. After this, Sri Lanka’s A team will tour Australia in July, but before that the Sri Lanka team has started preparing for the victory. He has called the former bowling coach of Team India to train his cricketers.
Bharat Arun will give training to Sri Lankan cricketers
From 2014 to 2021, Bharat Arun, who was the bowling coach of Team India, will now train Sri Lanka cricketers. He will train the players of Sri Lanka’s junior and senior teams for 14 days. Sri Lanka Cricket Board said in a press report that Arun Bharat will teach cricket tricks to Sri Lankan players at the High Performance Center from June 2. Earlier, former fielding coach of Team India R.K. Sridhar trained Sri Lankan cricketers for 10 days this month.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals’ High Performance Director Zubin Bharucha gave batting coaching in Sri Lanka. All these programs are being run under the supervision of head coach Sanath Jayasuriya. Jayasuriya was quite disappointed when the team could not make it to the Champions Trophy. After this, he got involved in the new mission.
Sri Lankan team could not qualify for Champions Trophy
Sri Lanka’s team could not qualify for the Champions Trophy held this year. Due to which Sanath Jayasuriya was very hurt. Sri Lanka performed very disappointing in the 2023 ODI World Cup. She finished ninth in this tournament. Whereas only the top 8 teams got entry in the Champions Trophy.
